Sick, dude!

Since I've been lying sick in bed for 2 1/2 days, I've had plenty of time to read this book.

It's really interesting, and I like the different approach it offers. It's possible though, that I just like reading about anything other than medicine since I'm doping myself up w/ a dayquil/mucinex cocktail about every four hours. I really feel like all I ever write about is my lack of fetii, but I do so for two reasons: A) It's kind of all-consuming, so if I have thoughts about anything it's usually that matter, and B) I am a firm believer in making infertility and fertility issues ok to talk about. I think that, at least for me, pregnancy is talked about as something that just happens. When you want a baby, *poof* a baby shows up in your belly. Little did I know. It's such a wild blend of science and miracle that I just can't wrap my head around.

Completely unrelated (because a few things I do are unrelated to this topic): after feeling like I could get out of bed today, I de-germed my house entirely (which always feels so good, like even if you're a little sick still it certainly feels like you won't get sicker) and then made cookies, bread and my favorite soup (a copycat of Carrabba's sausage and lentil soup...amazing) and now am just hanging out watching movies with the hubs. Hadn't posted in awhile and thought I'd best update...

My dear, you should always feel free to blog. You have your public, and they must be attended to. Sorry about your case of the icks. We have been healthy here for way too long. That means something horrid is just around the corner! We are excited to see you guys at Thanksgiving and you can bet the wee ones will have many grand Hodgie making schemes planned for Chris-John.
Feel better soon and have you looked into acupuncture for infertility? I always thought it sounded intriguing and totally legit. Needles just seem so official. And thank you for all the comments on my posts--Kirsten is right--rare bit of luck on my part indeed!
