I've noticed a lot of people slowing in their blog activity as the summer hits its peak (it's too hot too breathe, let alone to type and have a semblance of wit) so, please do excuse me for being remiss in my postings. In my defense, we have also been in the middle of a move (words to live by: do not, under any circumstance, choose to move in the month of August, especially the first of August, because your face will melt off and you will not enjoy the adventure) so I've been a titch busy.
I'll post more later, but to quell wondering minds, the new place is fantastic, lots of space and lots of new Ikea bookshelves. And no hot water. I have taken 2 ice cold showers and had one swim (because chlorine kills germs, and is thus, like a shower), apparently we were supposed to switch the gas into our name (we were told the program that is paying the rent and such for us was going to do our utilities as well) and we hadn't, so the gas won't be on until some point tomorrow. No big loss, it was so bone-singing hot that a cold shower was welcome.
Also--first dishwasher since we've been married. Looks like we'll make it after all! More to come, soon.

I have missed u! How did you know? I had no idea it was because you were melting. Consider yourself excused. Personally I really cannot stand the heat. It makes me grouchy and not inclined to cook dinner. Like I need help avoiding dinner....
I hate hot weather, which is why when we retire we are moving to St George. Gotta have a plan.
While I was reading her comment I was thinking: then why are they moving to St. George? Oh well, she answered that one quite definitively! We had cold showers for 3 months last winter and let me tell you, i've never learned how to wash myself and hair in 30 seconds like I did then. It was miserable! We called to complain and they just said: oh the joys of an old building! After several couples moved out because of it, they finally bought a new, larger, water heater. It really makes you appreciate every drop though. A dishwasher! you lucky, lucky girl. I hope we are that lucky someday soon. Can't wait to be your house guests!!
Congrats on the new place! Yes, I miss you all the time.
