I didn't realize it had been such a long time since I last posted. Meh. It happens, sorry to disappoint, if I did. Quick update: We went to Cali Town for 4th of July. It was hot, but fun to see everyone and I got to go to the beach, so no complaints. Then we came home. Our house got messy, I still haven't cleaned it. Vegor got totally denied on this job he should have gotten. I am starting to read Cormac McCarthy's The Road if anyone's interested. I'm going to try and be better about posting, I swears it. In the meantime Kirsten tagged me with this 8 things business. Watch yo backs--I'll tag you too.
8 things I am passionate about:
1. The Husband
2. Mi Familia
3. Friends
4. singing
5. TV
6. Reading/Writing
7. Laughing/making people laugh
8. reconnecting with old friends.
8 Books I Have Read And Enjoyed
1. Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. This book seriously changed the way I think about eating, and living in general.
2. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. Amazing, and a quick read.
3. The History of Love by Nicole Krauss. It's been a long while since I read this book last, but man will it make you cry.
4. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safran Foer. This is seriously my favorite book. Ever.
5. A Staggering Work of Heartbreaking Genius by David Eggers. One of my favorite contemporary writers. Hilarious and sad, the perfect combination.
6. Birds of America by Lorrie Moore. A collection of short stories that will break your heart.
7. Angels in America by Tony Kushner. Definitely my second favorite book, and it's a very close race. A play about race, religion, sexuality, death and identity. I've probably read it 10 times and the mini-series that HBO did from it is phenomenal.
8. David Sedaris--Anything he writes is hilarious and wonderful.
8 Words/Phrases I Say Often
1. I love you (Kirsten, I think we may give you and Nic a run for your money on this one.)
2. Seriously. This is my go-to agreement word.
3. Frealz. This is my second go-to agreement word.

Yeah. I was gonna complain about nothing new--posting wise, then I remembered I'm a white personality, so I got over it. Kirsten tagged me but seriously, I don't think my vast readership deserves another dip into the minutia of my brain a la tagging. I have a lot of sympathy like that. I miss the beach too!
I loved your many '8' things. I also miss Kristina Michelle Stone Brown. When I read the the 8 books you'd read I was jealous. I think I've forgotten how to read anything but blogs and emails for work!! Oh yes, I better include street signs!! One more thing...I'm jealous you got to go to the beach.
oh la, i'd trade books for babies any day of the week.
